GOLD SPRINTS


 

The GOLD SPRINTS are a bicycle rollers racing social event, where riders on stationary bikes compete against each other in front of spectators. Participants will have to ride a distance of 500 meters in the shortest time possible. 
 
1st PHASE: 
Will be made a general classification  taking times of the 500 meters sprints of each rider. The qualified riders (first 10, 15, 20 ... according to the number of participants) of this category will pass to the 2nd Round.  
 
2nd PHASE: 
Qualified riders will pass to the randomly organized face to face knockout phase. In this way, participants who reach to the final, must fight in a course of 1,000 meters.  

   

 

2016 EDITION


It was a great afternoon with lot of emotions, challenges and good atmosphere what we lived in the Gazteleku of Oñati. A lot of spectators enjoyed the challenges and they gave the support to every participant.

 

The challenges were exciting and finally the riders of Oñati Xabier Barrena and Mikel Lizarralde reached the final. The winner of this edition was Mikel Lizarralde, who won the intense final of 1000 meters. But Xabier Barrena scored the highest speed, reaching up to 92 km/h.
 
The organizers want to thank once again to all the people who helped us to make all this possible!

2015 EDITION


It was incredible what we lived in the Gazteleku of Oñati. Good atmosphere, many spectators and spectacular races! The atmosphere was amazing and the event lasted about 3 hours, doing a total of 23 races.

 

Joseba Albizu won the tough final against Aritz Lopes and the max velocity mark went for Xabier Altube with a maximum of 99,57 km/h.

2014 EDITION


Many local, outsider, seniors, young people and even children came to the championship and the atmosphere created was awesome. The event started at 19:00 pm and lasted about for 3 hours, doing 34 challenges between 38 riders, including people coming from Zarautz, Beasain or Donostia. 
Jon Ander Arakama won the tough final against Antton Zubia and the max velocity mark went for Antton Zubia with a maximum of 88 km/h.
